A word from our lead pastor, Matthew:

I am so glad you are interested in St. Paul Lutheran Church & School. It has been my joy to serve this community. We pray that as you come, we would all learn to live, love and grow in God’s word together. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Our Beliefs

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s true Son. We believe that Jesus Christ is also true God and true man. He is the savior of the world and our personal savior who died for our sins and rose for our eternal life. We believe He will come again.

  • We believe that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that each person of this trinity is equal to each other and yet distinct. God the Father creates, God the Son saves, and God the Holy Spirit makes faith. This is a divine mystery which we cannot understand nevertheless we believe it to be true for our salvation.

  • We believe that the two chief doctrines of God’s Word, law and gospel, must be taught correctly until Christ returns.

The Law, as the expression of God’s will, is used to bring people to a knowledge of their sins as well as to give instruction about good works.

The Gospel is our primary message. “For by grace you have been saved, through faith. And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

  • We believe, teach and confess that Adam and Eve, the first created humans in God’s image, disobeyed God and therefore broke the perfect relationship between God and his creation. Therefore, all mankind now has a broken relationship with God.

We believe that this broken relationship is restored through the life, death, and resurrection of God’s own Son, Jesus Christ.

  • The Inspiration of Scripture

We believe, teach and confess that all Scripture is written by the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit and that God is therefore the true Author of every word of Scripture.

    The Purpose of Scripture

We believe that all Scripture is the story of Jesus Christ and that its primary purpose is to make people understand salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We therefore affirm that the Scriptures are rightly used only when they are read from the perspective of justification by faith.

  • We believe that baptism is one of the two Holy Sacraments that God gives to his people.

Baptism is through the physical washing of water connected with the promises of God’s word, the washing of our sins. We believe that baptism only has to happen once for the remission of all sins.

It is for the comfort of the Christian to know they are saved by God’s grace so that when sin torments us we may turn and say, “I am baptized, I am saved.”

  • We believe that Holy Communion is the second Holy Sacrament that God gives to us for the forgiveness of sins.

We believe that Christ’s true body and blood, in with and under the bread and the wine, is given to us for forgiveness of sins and strengthening of faith.

We are happy to answer any and all of your questions. Here are a few of the most common ones.
